Louisiana Cop Brutalizes Female In Custody (2)

Videotaped on November 17, 2007 in a Shrevenport, Louisiana police station, after suspect Angela Garbarino is taken into custody by officer Wylie Willis under suspicion of DUI. The footage begins w/ a shot Angela standing in the middle of a medium-sized interrogation room, looking back, holding tissue to a bloody wound on her upper lip. Though Willis isn’t in the shot, he can be heard reading Angela her rights. “You’re not gonna let me call anybody?,” she repeatedly asks him, while he ignores her & continues talking. In the next clip, Willis & Angela face-off at the door, as he advances on her w/ a clipboard in his right hand. With the door open, she grips the inside handle, telling him, “no, I need to call somebody.” “We have some rules we need to follow,” he tells her, as he uses his free arm to grab the outside handle, blocking her exit. As he begins to close the door, Angela attempts to maintain her grip on it. “What do you mean, rules? I have some rules I have to follow, too,” she says, as Willis violently pulls the door towards him, letting go just in time to grab her left arm. She lets go of the door & he ushers her into the middle of the room, promptly walking away. In the next clip, Angela is in the now-open doorway, being advanced upon by Willis (still holding the clipboard), as she tells him, “you have got to let me call somebody.” “Negative,” he replies, closing in & grabbing her left wrist w/ his free arm.
